Privacy Policy

AI Sidebar BYOK does not operate a server and does not collect, sell, or share personal information.

Data handled by the extension:

  • API keys are stored in `chrome.storage.local` on the user's browser profile.
  • Text entered in the side panel, selected text, and extracted page text remain local until the user runs an AI action.
  • When the user runs an AI action, the text is sent directly from the browser to the selected provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.
  • Local request history is stored in `chrome.storage.local` so the user can revisit recent outputs.

    • The extension does not transmit text, API keys, browsing history, or usage history to the developer. Provider processing is governed by the selected provider's own terms and privacy policy.
